Everyday Makeup Tutorials
Wednesday, February 5, 2014
You guys know I suck at tutorials, but I flipped on my camera when I did my makeup yesterday, since some of you were asking about daily makeup routines. Here are some things to keep in mind:
1) This is what I would do on a weekday when I just have to do running around, sometimes a video call with a client, etc. It's not full-on glammy makeup, which is a whole 'nother story.
2) I don't wear lip products on a daily basis. I feel like they're high maintenance. I just wear my Baby Lips. And you should know how to put on lip balm by now geez.
3) Aside from smoothing them out (because I sleep on my face and mess 'em up) I don't do much with my eyebrows. I keep them neat and skip any products. Sometimes I might use a gel-based filler.
4) Please enjoy the view of my toilet paper holder. Also, products that I used are below.
5) I DID get my new Diorshow Iconic Overcurl like, five minutes after this video was made. Isn't that just always the way? It's AMAZING by the way. So good. I'll do a full review soon. I also started using a new nighttime treatment that I need to review too. Sorry, getting off topic here.
Anyway, I broke it into three videos for each area of the face. See if you can find a special guest.
Products used:
Clean and Clear Morning Glow
ELF HD Lifting Concealer (Brightening)
NYC Smooth Skin (Ivory)
Too Faced Matte Bronzer (Chocolate Soleil)
ELF Studio Blush (Tickled Pink)
ELF Shimmering Facial Whip (Lilac Petal)
Starlooks Eyeliner (Obsidian)
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
Urban Decay Naked Palette
Maybelline Volum' Express Colossal (Black)
All brushes were from Sonia Kashuk or ELF Studio. So I use about 10 products, ranging from $3 to like, $50. I feel pretty good about that.
And drumroll please, here's a before and after:
Let me know if you have any questions on products or whatever!

Loved the tutorials! I learned something! I never know that you were suppose to leave the concealer spotted on the spot I always thought you rubbed it in and then did foundation. It makes sense why it never works right for me now. Lol
Also, where can you get ELF products?
Seriously these tutorials were amazeballs and actually basic. Normally when I watch "basic/everyday" tutorials I'm like, "wow, I would never do that...." But, yours is actually useful to me! Yay! I'm kind of excited about trying stuff now. Thanks!
Aw thanks Maggie. I'm so dang awkward on camera that I stress over doing tutorials lol. I buy ELF online http://www.eyeslipsface.com/ and seriously, never order without a coupon code -- there are always a ton on RetailMeNot.com. But if you want it right now, Target carries *some* of the more basic and studio products. I've had pretty good luck finding the lip, brushes and facial whip there. But usually I do a huge online order -- like, $25 goes a looooong way and the vast majority of products I've gotten have been excellent.
Great tutorials!! And I lovve ELF products!! I used to buy them online and buy everything at once but now they sell it at WalMart and CVS!!!

Makeup is just fun. Tim Gunn was on NPR today and he was feeling sorry for women because we have to do so much to get ready (I'm guessing makeup was part of that.)
I feel the opposite. I pity men because they don't get to wear it!
Oo, colors, brushes, pretty. Who cares if skin products do nothing for me? The act of caring for yourself feels good. : )
By the way, you didn't seem awkward at all. I thought to myself, "If I were doing a tutorial, would I just look at the camera and freeze like a deer in headlights??" Probably.
Sweet! Thank you! I didn't think you seemed awkward either.
Nora, totally agree. Last night I was cleaning off my vanity and my husband was like "How much money do we blow on makeup?" and I was like "Well, define blow..." because I think makeup is fun! Plus I love that as a girl, it's acceptable for me to cover a zit with makeup. Suck it, boys! lol.
A fellow recommended a couple of supplement products to me. He also said that drinking a ton of water is also a must. I've been precautious in not over-doing anything.

What this supplements truly is a mega pack of muscle. I consider this item is all in all complete. Apparently I'm a gigantic devotee to this item, and I cherish utilizing it.
